Katherine Heigl’s negative comments about Grey’s Anatomy have not gone down well with ABC Entertainment chief Stephen McPherson. Heigl, 30, plays the role of Izzie Stevens in the show and has had made comments about having to work a 17-hour day. She also said she didn’t want to be considered for an Emmy nomination as she didn’t think the material on the show was worth recognition. McPherson said: “I think it’s unfortunate. Jennifer LeRoy, who owns the popular New York restaurant Tavern On the Green, allegedly fired assistant Jamie Mora just a week after Mora told her boss she was pregnant. And for a country like the Netherlands, it's far more likely to work. But the USA has a much bigger population and 50 states, each of which would have different laws. I'd be OK with a system that's OK for everyone. But when a country as large as the US tries to socialize health care, what happens is crappy health care for most, decent (but 10 times as expensive) health care for a very very small minority.
